Postgraduate

If you are interested in an elective in radiology as part of your postgraduate training in another specialty, you must first ensure that this meets your program requirements and Program Director’s approval. Many programs have formal arrangements with our residency program, to provide rotations in Diagnostic Radiology, as part of their structured program design.

There is a high volume of requests for rotations in radiology, above and beyond those programs which already have arranged rotations in our department. Our ability to accommodate these requests depends on the number of elective undergraduate medical student electives and mandatory postgraduate rotations that are scheduled at each of our teaching hospital sites. If you are interested, please have your Residency Program Assistant contact the appropriate site where you wish to arrange the elective, as listed at the beginning of this section. Otherwise, please contact our Program Assistant.

Please note, we have very limited capacity to accommodate any residents outside of the McMaster system.
